Ballet I & II
(6 yrs old & up)
Knowledge of ballet basics needed
Saturday’s 10 AM to 10:30 PM
$10.00 per class
Beginner Ballet
(5 to 10 yrs old)
Little ballet or no ballet experience required
Wednesday’s 5:15 PM to 6:00 PM
$12.00 per class
Adult Ballet
(16 yrs old & up)
Little or no ballet experience required.
Tuesday’s 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM
$12.00 per class
KATHY HAS AN EXTENSIVE BACKGROUND IN CLASSICAL BALLET. SHE BEGAN DANCING AT THE AGE OF 4 AND STARTED SERIOUSLY TRAINING AT THE AGE OF 8 WITH THE NEWINGTON BALLET CO. (NEWINGTON CT). SHE BECAME AN APPRENTICE TEACHER AT THE AGE OF 11 AND AT THE AGE OF 12 SHE WAS ASKED TO AUDITION BY JOSEPH ALBANO WITH THE HARTFORD BALLET CO. AT THE AGE OF 14. SHE DANCED WITH THE NEW YORK CITY BALLET AND THEN WITH GILBERT AND SULLIVAN
PRODUCTIONS. SHE CONTINUED TO DANCE AFTER MOVING TO THE WEST COAST WITH THE RIVERSIDE CIVIC BALLET CO, WHERE SHE BECAME THEIR CHOREOGRAPHER. AFTER MOVING TO SAN DIEGO SHE DANCED WITH STAGE 7 UNDER BILL HADDEN AND BEGAN TO TEACH BALLET ON A PART TIME BASIS AND RAISE A FAMILY. SHE NOW ENJOYS TEACHING ICE SKATERS AS WELL AS DANCE
ENTHUSIASTS OF ALL AGES CLASSICAL BALLET AT SDIA.
